Log in to Pleo with a third-party provider (Google or Microsoft)

Third-party provider login lets people in your organisation sign in to Pleo using Google or Microsoft. If your organisation enables Require third-party login, it can:

  • Reduce password-related issues.
  • Let your organisation manage sign-in security in Google or Microsoft (for example, policies and protections set by IT).
  • Make it easier to sign in if you are already signed in to your work account.

Enable Third-party provider login (for admin)

  • Each user must have an active Google Workspace or Microsoft account for the same email address they use in Pleo.
  • Once enabled, this will apply to all users within your Pleo account. If you are rolling this out widely, inform users in advance to avoid sign-in interruptions.

  1. In Pleo, go to Settings
  2. Select General
  3. Open Login methods
  4. Under Third-party provider, enable Require third-party login
  5. Choose which providers can be used
    • All supported providers
    • Google only
    • Microsoft only
  6. Tell users whether to choose Continue with Google, Continue with Microsoft, or any option

How to log in (for users)

  1. Go to the Pleo login screen
  2. Select Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft
  3. Complete sign-in in the Google or Microsoft window
  4. You will be redirected back to Pleo

What to do if I see an error in Google/Microsoft: “This email doesn’t exist”

This can happen if third-party login is enabled in Pleo, but you do not have an active account in Google Workspace or Microsoft for the same email address.

  1. Confirm you have an active account in Google Workspace or Microsoft for the same email used in Pleo
  2. Sign in using the correct option: Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft
  3. Confirm with your IT department that the account is created, activated, and licensed (if required)
  4. Try again

I’m being redirected when trying to log in with email

If your organisation has enabled Require third-party login, email sign-in may redirect you to Google or Microsoft. Sign in using Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft instead.
