To-do lists

Updated 17 Sep 2026

Your To-Do List shows expenses that need your attention before they can be finalised. Expenses appear here when required details (such as receipts, categories, tags, or other company-specific fields) are missing.

Use the To-Do List to:

  • Find expenses that need your attention
  • Add missing information
  • Make sure expenses are ready for review and bookkeeping
  • Avoid delays in accounting or reimbursements

Required information

Your organisation decides which fields are mandatory on expenses. These can include:

  • Receipts
  • Categories
  • Tags
  • Custom fields
  • Specific details requested by reviewers

Complete an expense from the to-do list

  1. Go to Expenses
  2. Open your to-do list (or Waiting for your action, depending on what you see)
  3. Select the expense you want to complete
  4. Provide the missing information
    • The missing information/required fields will be highlighted
  5. Select Save
  6. Once you’ve added the required details and saved, the expense is removed from your to-do list.

Good to know:

  • Can’t find an approved expense? They won't show on your to-do list even if they need a receipt. Use the "Missing receipts" filter to view all expenses without attachments
  • Missing receipts and the to-do list check different information points:
    • Missing receipts check whether an attachment exists
    • The to-do list checks actions that are currently required from you
