Add, view, rename & remove passkeys

Updated 05 Nov 2026

You can register more than one passkey (5 maximum) so that you have another secure way to access Pleo if a device is lost, replaced, or unavailable.

View your passkeys

  1. On web: Open Account → Security and devices.
  2. On mobile: Go to Account → Security → Passkeys.
  3. Review your registered passkeys.
  4. Check the details available in the list to identify each passkey.

Add another passkey on this device

  1. Select Add passkey.
  2. Authenticate using an existing passkey.
  3. Follow the browser or device prompt to save the new passkey.
  4. Confirm that it appears in your passkey list.

Add a passkey on another device

  1. On the new device, select Add passkey.
  2. Choose the option to authenticate with another device.
  3. Scan the QR code using a nearby device that already holds one of your passkeys.
  4. Keep Bluetooth enabled on both devices and keep them close together.
  5. Approve the request on the existing device.
  6. Complete passkey setup on the new device.

After passkey setup, use a passkey to authorise adding another one. The continued availability of older login methods during migration does not mean they can bypass this check.

Rename a passkey

  1. Open your passkey list on web or mobile.
  2. Select the passkey you want to rename.
  3. Choose the rename action and enter a recognisable name.
  4. Save the change.

Renaming helps you identify the credential; it does not transfer it to another credential manager.

Remove a passkey

  1. Open your passkey list.
  2. Select the passkey you no longer use.
  3. Select Remove passkey.
  4. Authenticate with a passkey and confirm the removal.

You cannot remove your last passkey. This prevents you from creating an account state with no self-service way to sign in.

Lost or stolen device

  • If another passkey is available, sign in and remove the passkey associated with the lost device.
  • If no other passkey is available, contact your admin for account recovery.
  • If you do not recognise a passkey or suspect fraud, contact Pleo Support immediately rather than removing credentials at random.
