Download expense reports

Download expense reports in Pleo to export expense data or receipts for bookkeeping, audits, or sharing with stakeholders. You can download different report types and apply multiple filters to narrow down what’s included in the report. 


Admin or Bookkeeper access is needed 


  1. In the Pleo web app, go to Export
  2. Click Reports
  3. Choose the report type you want
  4. Apply the filters you need
  5. Click Generate report
    • Select Expense data to download expense details as .CSV or .XLSX (generic format)
    • Select Attached receipts to download receipts and attached files as a .PDF


Good to know:  Expenses will not be moved to your accounting integration and will not be locked so they can still be edited

Choose the right report type

Use the Account report when you need a full overview of activity in your Pleo account(s), including:

  • Expenses
  • Pleo fees
  • Refunds
  • Reimbursements
  • Cashback
  • Invoice payments
  • Top ups


Use the reimbursement report when you only need reimbursement activity, including:

  • Out-of-pocket expenses
  • Mileage claims
  • Reimbursements

How filters work in Reports

Apply multiple filters

You can apply more than one filter at the same time (for example: date range and account and review status)


Use one option per filter

  • Within a single filter, you can only choose one option at a time (for example, you can’t select two different accounts in the Account filter)
  • If you need multiple values from the same filter type, download a separate report for each value
