What to do if you see the message “Exact Online API request failed. Status code: RequestEntityTooLarge, Description: Request Entity Too Large, Content:”

This error may show in one of two ways, but both refer to the same issue, and are fixed in the same way:

The export failed because one or more of the receipts added to expense(s) is larger than 20 MB.

To fix:

1. In the error message, click View expense to see which expenses caused the error
2. Locate the expenses in the Export queue
3. For each expense:
   1. Click on the expense
   2. Download the attached receipt (if needed)
   3. Delete the attached receipt
   4. Add a new receipt (must be less than 20 MB)
4. Reattempt the export
5. If you still experience this export error after these steps, c.

Good to know

• Not all receipts can be deleted. For example out of pocket, mileage and per diem transactions that have already been reimbursed
• In this case, contact our Customer Support team to remove the receipts
