Phishing is a type of scam where attackers try to trick you into giving them your personal or financial information, like passwords, card numbers, or login verification codes.
Take these steps immediately
- Lock your account
It will freeze the cards to prevent any unauthorised spending, log you out everywhere so no one can access your account even if they have your login details, and reset your password to secure the account.- Navigate to My account
- Access Security in the Pleo App
- Click Lock account
- Review recent account activity
Check your account and look for any suspicious transactions or any suspicious users. If you notice any fraudulent transactions:- Select the fraudulent transaction
- Click on the 3-dot menu in the top right corner
- Select Report fraud transaction
- Contact us
Reach out to the Pleo support team immediately. We'll secure your account and guide you through the next steps.
After you've secured your account
Once you've contacted us and secured your Pleo account, we also suggest you do the following:
- Report the message
Report the suspicious message (email, text, or phone call) to your mobile carrier or email provider. For text messages, you can forward the text to their spam reporting number (if supported). - Delete the message
Once reported, delete the message to avoid accidentally interacting with it again. - Keep an eye out
Be extra vigilant for any signs of card fraud and phishing attempts in the future. - Follow the progress
