Understand the Cash Management add-on

Cash Management helps you track, manage, and optimise your company’s cash across Pleo and (where available) your connected bank accounts. It gives finance teams one place to view balances, organise funds, automate transfers, manage multiple currencies, and make better use of eligible idle cash.


  • Cash Management availability may depend on your country, account eligibility, and whether Cash Management is included in your plan.
  • If your plan is eligible for Cash Management, but you don’t see it in your Pleo account or can’t activate it, contact Pleo Support.

Get started with Cash Management

  1. Go to Cash Management in Pleo
  2. (If available) connect your bank accounts to view balances
  3. Review your Cash Position Overview
  4. Create sub-accounts if you want to separate funds by team, budget, department, or purpose
  5. Set up Transfer Rules to automate recurring transfers or top-ups
  6. Activate Multi-currency if your business spends in multiple currencies
  7. Order new multi-currency cards for the people who need them
  8. Explore Investment Account if your company is eligible

What the Cash Management add-on offers

Depending on your country, plan, and eligibility, the Cash Management add-on can include:

  • Cash Position Overview — view balances across your connected bank accounts and your Pleo balance (and any sub-accounts you create) in one place
  • Sub-accounts — organise company funds into dedicated accounts for teams, budgets, departments, or specific purposes (up to 10 or 20 sub-accounts depending on your plan)
  • Transfer Rules — automate transfers and top-ups between connected bank accounts and your Pleo balance (and any sub-accounts you create) (up to 10 or 20 transfer rules depending on your plan)
  • Multi-currency — hold, exchange, top up, and spend in supported currencies using multi-currency accounts and cards (supported currencies: EUR, GBP, USD, DKK, NOK, and SEK)
  • Investment Account — earn yield on eligible idle cash, with monthly yield payments and next-day liquidity where available

Cash Position Overview

Cash Position Overview gives you a centralised view of your company’s balances across connected bank accounts and your Pleo balance (and any sub-accounts you create).


Use it to:

  • Check available balances in one place
  • See where company cash is held
  • Get a clearer view of your business cash position
  • Make more informed cash planning decisions

Sub-accounts

Sub-accounts help you organise company funds for different teams, budgets, departments, or purposes.

Depending on your plan, you can create up to 10 or 20 sub-accounts.


Use sub-accounts to:

  • Separate money for specific budgets
  • Allocate funds to departments, teams, or projects
  • Keep clearer oversight of available funds
  • Manage cash in a more structured way


For example, you could create sub-accounts for travel, marketing, office expenses, or department-specific budgets.

Transfer Rules

Transfer Rules help automate money movement between your bank accounts and your Pleo balance (and any sub-accounts you create).


Depending on your plan, you can create up to 10 or 20 transfer rules.


Use Transfer Rules to:

  • Automate top-ups
  • Reduce manual transfers
  • Keep account balances at the level your business needs
  • Save time on recurring cash management tasks
  • Reduce the risk of manual errors


For example, you may be able to create a rule that automatically tops up a Pleo account when the balance drops below a certain amount.

Multi-currency

Multi-currency helps businesses manage spending in more than one currency directly in Pleo.


With Multi-currency, you can:

  • Hold balances in supported currencies
  • Exchange money between supported currencies
  • Top up currency accounts
  • Spend using multi-currency cards
  • Reduce unnecessary foreign exchange costs where possible


Supported currencies:

  • EUR
  • GBP
  • USD
  • DKK
  • NOK
  • SEK


When you use a multi-currency card, Pleo can charge the relevant currency account automatically when that currency is available.


Good to know: Existing Pleo cards won’t automatically become multi-currency cards after activation. After you activate Multi-currency, order new multi-currency cards if you need them. Cards created after activation will be multi-currency cards.

Investment Account

Investment Account can help businesses make better use of idle cash.

With an Investment Account, eligible customers may be able to:

  • Move idle company cash into an investment account
  • Earn yield on eligible funds
  • Receive yield payments monthly
  • Access funds with next-day liquidity


Good to know: Availability, eligibility, returns, and liquidity may vary. Investment Account may not be available to all customers or in all markets.
